For nine years, the Kingdom of Veloris lived inside a silence no one dared to break

For nine years, the Kingdom of Veloris lived inside a silence no one dared to break. Inside the Palace of the White Moon, Princess Lyssara lay asleep on a crystal bed in the center of the great hall. She did not age in the way time should have allowed. She did not respond to magic, prayers, or ancient rituals performed by the most powerful archmages in the kingdom. Every attempt to wake her ended the same way—failure followed by more silence.

Over time, people stopped calling it sleep. They began calling it a farewell that had never been completed, a curse that refused to end, or a divine punishment no one understood. Kings from distant lands sent relics, holy artifacts, and forbidden magic scrolls, but nothing changed. The princess remained untouched by time, as if the world itself had forgotten how to wake her.

Then, one ordinary afternoon, something impossible happened.

Outside the palace gates, a small street boy named Finn sat beneath an old tree. He wasn’t begging. He wasn’t asking for anything. He simply sang a melody—soft, broken, and strangely familiar, as if it did not belong to this world. People passing by slowed their steps without knowing why. Some stopped completely. Others felt an unexplained heaviness in their chest, as if the song carried memories they had never lived.

And then the final note echoed.

Inside the palace, something moved.

A single finger of Princess Lyssara twitched.

At first, it was so small that no one noticed. But a servant holding a silver tray saw it happen. The tray slipped from her hands and crashed onto the marble floor, echoing through the silent corridor like a signal that something had finally changed.

Chaos erupted instantly. Servants screamed. Guards ran. Archmages rushed into the hall, their hands already glowing with unstable magic. And for the first time in nine years, the princess slowly opened her eyes.

The kingdom collapsed into disbelief within hours.

The King and Queen rushed into the hall, trembling as they saw their daughter finally awake. Some fell to their knees in tears, others in shock, unable to process what they were witnessing. But what followed next silenced everyone more deeply than the nine years of sleep ever had.

Because Lyssara spoke.

Her first words were not confusion.

Not fear.

But something far more terrifying.

“Finally…”

“…the one who kept the promise has returned.”

The entire hall froze.

The King stepped forward, gripping her hand tightly. His voice trembled as he asked who she was speaking about. But Lyssara did not answer. Instead, she slowly sat up, her eyes scanning the room as if searching for something far beyond the palace walls.

Then she spoke again, softer but certain.

“Bring him to me.”

“The boy who was singing outside the gate.”
The guards rushed out immediately.

And within minutes, Finn was dragged into the grand hall.

He looked completely out of place among golden pillars, ancient banners, and nobles dressed in silk and gold. His small, torn clothes made him look like a shadow that had wandered into a forgotten world of kings.

But the moment Lyssara saw him… everything changed.

She broke down in tears.

Not tears of joy.

But of recognition.

As if something buried deep inside her had finally been unlocked after nine years of silence.

She stepped down from the crystal bed slowly, ignoring the gasps of everyone watching. Each step echoed through the hall until she stood directly in front of the boy.

And then she spoke.

“I finally found you…”

The hall exploded in shock.

Finn stepped back immediately, confused, shaking his head. “Princess… you’re mistaken. I’ve never been here before.”

But Lyssara shook her head firmly.

“No.”

“I remember that voice.”

“I remember that song.”

“I remember the promise you made before you disappeared.”

The King’s face turned pale instantly.

“Disappeared?” he repeated in disbelief. “What are you talking about?”

Lyssara turned toward him slowly.

And for the first time in nine years, her gaze was no longer soft or fragile.

It was sharp.

Awake.

Almost dangerous.

“Father…”

“You told the entire kingdom that the Star Prince died.”

“But you knew it was a lie.”

The hall erupted instantly.

Nobles stood up. Archmages froze mid-spell. Whispers turned into panic within seconds.

Because the “Star Prince” was not a title used in ordinary history.

It belonged to an ancient prophecy—one spoken only in forbidden texts.

A child said to appear once every thousand years, destined to awaken the sleeping stars of the sky.

The King stepped back in horror.

For the first time, fear appeared on his face.

And Finn…

Finn suddenly grabbed his head as pain shot through him.

Memories that did not belong to him began flooding his mind.

A voice singing with him.

A sky full of stars.

A girl crying beneath silver light.

And a promise whispered in another lifetime:

“I will come back.”

At that exact moment…

a blinding silver light exploded from Finn’s forehead.

BOOOOM.

The entire sky above the palace trembled violently.

Stars appeared in broad daylight.

And in the stunned silence of the Kingdom of Veloris, an ancient voice echoed from above the clouds:

“The heir of the Heavenly Realm…”

“…has awakened.”
