Chapter 2: The Men in Black Arrive

Chapter 2: The Men in Black Arrive
The young thug's fist remained suspended in the air for only a heartbeat.
Before anyone could predict what would happen next, the peaceful sounds of the park were interrupted by the deep growl of powerful engines.
Heads turned simultaneously.
Two identical black SUVs rolled through the park entrance with remarkable precision before stopping several yards from the bench. Their glossy paint reflected the afternoon sun, and their tinted windows revealed nothing about the people inside.
The laughter of the three troublemakers gradually faded.
"What the...?" the cameraman muttered, lowering his phone for the first time.
The tallest thug shrugged dismissively.
"Probably some rich guy visiting the park."
The vehicle doors opened almost in perfect synchronization.
Eight men stepped out.
Each wore a dark tailored suit, polished shoes, and discreet earpieces. Their movements were calm, disciplined, and unmistakably professional. They didn't glance around in confusion like ordinary bystanders. Instead, every pair of eyes immediately focused on one person.
The elderly man sitting quietly on the weathered bench.
Without exchanging unnecessary words, the men spread into a protective formation. Four positioned themselves between the old man and the crowd. The remaining four scanned every direction with practiced precision, silently assessing every possible threat.
The sudden display of organization silenced the entire park.
Children stopped playing.
Joggers slowed to a walk.
Even the birds scattered from nearby trees as if sensing that the atmosphere had completely changed.
The three young men exchanged uncertain glances.
"Are... are they cops?" one whispered.
"No badges," another replied.
"Maybe private security."
The tallest among them forced a laugh, refusing to show fear.
"So what? This old guy hired bodyguards? That's hilarious."
His voice sounded much less confident than before.
One of the suited men approached the elderly stranger and bowed his head respectfully.
"Sir."
The old man looked up calmly.
"You took longer than expected."
"My apologies, sir. Traffic delayed our arrival by three minutes."
"Three minutes is acceptable."
"Are you injured?"
"A little wet."
The answer drew the faintest smile from the security officer, though it disappeared almost instantly.
"Understood."
Only then did he turn toward the three troublemakers.
His expression became cold enough to send a chill through the crowd.
"Step away from him."
The tallest thug laughed again, trying desperately to regain control.
"Or what? You gonna scare us with matching suits?"
None of the security personnel reacted.
Their silence was somehow more intimidating than shouting.
The cameraman discreetly resumed recording.
"This is even better," he whispered. "We'll post this too."
One of the security officers noticed the phone immediately.
"Recording acknowledged."
The young man smirked.
"Yeah. Smile for the internet."
"You misunderstand."
"What?"
"The recording is now evidence."
The smile vanished.
Before anyone could speak again, another black luxury sedan entered the park driveway.
Unlike the SUVs, this vehicle carried small diplomatic-style license plates that caught the attention of several older bystanders.
The driver exited first before opening the rear passenger door.
Out stepped an elegantly dressed woman in her early fifties.
The moment she saw the elderly man, concern filled her face.
She walked quickly toward him.
"Father."
The single word echoed across the silent park.
Everyone froze.
The elderly man smiled warmly.
"You worried too much."
She ignored the comment and gently examined his soaked jacket.
"They poured water on you?"
"It will dry."
She looked toward the security chief.
"Who did this?"
He calmly pointed toward the three young men.
"They initiated verbal harassment approximately twelve minutes ago. Escalated to physical intimidation seven minutes later. Assault occurred two minutes before our arrival."
Every detail had been timed with astonishing accuracy.
The woman slowly turned toward the troublemakers.
There was no anger in her face.
Only disappointment.
"You attacked a seventy-year-old man for entertainment?"
The tallest thug shrugged.
"It was just a joke."
"A joke?"
"No one got hurt."
The woman looked at her father's soaked clothes before meeting the young man's eyes.
"My father spent forty years teaching people that dignity matters more than power."
She paused.
"And today you tried to steal his dignity."
The cameraman whispered nervously to his friends.
"Who are these people?"
"I don't know."
"They don't seem normal."
A nearby businessman suddenly gasped.
His eyes widened as recognition struck him.
"No..."
His wife looked at him.
"What is it?"
"I know that woman."
"From where?"
"I've seen her on television."
He swallowed hard.
"She's Judge Eleanor Whitmore."
Several nearby witnesses overheard the name.
Within seconds whispers spread through the crowd like wildfire.
"The Chief Justice?"
"Impossible..."
"That can't be her."
The businessman shook his head firmly.
"I'm certain."
"If she's here..."
His voice trembled.
"...then who is that old man?"
The answer arrived before anyone could speculate further.
Another vehicle stopped beside the others.
This time, an elderly military general stepped out in full dress uniform, medals covering his chest.
The instant he reached the old man, he removed his cap.
Then, without hesitation...
He stood perfectly straight and saluted.
The entire park fell silent.
Even the wind seemed to stop.
The three young men stared in disbelief as the decorated general held his salute.
Only after several long seconds did the elderly stranger slowly rise from the bench.
He returned the salute with effortless precision.
The movement was flawless.
Not the salute of an ordinary veteran...
But of someone who had once commanded respect from people far above the rank of general.
For the first time that afternoon, genuine fear appeared in the faces of the three troublemakers.

The prank they had expected to turn into a viral joke was transforming into something far beyond their imagination.
And they were only beginning to discover the true identity of the quiet old man they had chosen to humiliate.
