Chapter 2: The Name That Silenced the School

Chapter 2: The Name That Silenced the School

No one inside the gym dared to breathe.

The students who had been laughing only seconds earlier slowly lowered their phones, unable to understand what they had just witnessed.

The man in the tailored black suit remained standing with his head respectfully lowered before Anna.

"We sincerely apologize for arriving thirty-seven seconds later than scheduled, Miss Anna."

His calm voice echoed through the silent gymnasium.

Anna simply nodded.

"It's fine."

That was all she said.

No anger.

No excitement.

No surprise.

As if she had expected this exact moment all along.

Mason stared at the man, then back at Anna, convinced the whole thing had to be some elaborate joke.

He forced a laugh.

"What is this?"

His voice sounded much less confident than before.

"You hired actors?"

Nobody laughed with him.

The security officers who had entered behind the suited officials spread across the gym with quiet precision. Their movements were disciplined, professional, and completely unlike ordinary campus security.

Each one wore an earpiece.

Each one observed every student without speaking.

The atmosphere changed instantly.

Even the loudest troublemakers instinctively stepped backward.

The man standing before Anna finally raised his head.

His silver tie pin reflected the bright gym lights.

Only then did the students notice the small emblem engraved into it.

None of them recognized it.

But Principal Howard did.

He had rushed into the gym after hearing chaos had erupted, expecting another student fight.

Instead, the moment he saw the emblem, the color drained from his face.

His steps slowed.

His hands began trembling.

"No..."

he whispered to himself.

"It can't be..."

The vice principal followed closely behind.

"What happened?"

Before Principal Howard could answer, the vice principal's eyes landed on the same emblem.

His expression froze.

The two administrators exchanged a glance filled with unmistakable panic.

Mason noticed their reaction.

"Principal!"

he shouted.

"Tell these people to leave!"

"They're interrupting school!"

Nobody responded.

The principal walked toward the suited man instead.

His voice was unusually respectful.

"Sir..."

"I wasn't informed your organization would be visiting today."

The students looked at one another.

Organization?

What organization?

The suited man answered without taking his eyes off Anna.

"This visit wasn't planned."

"We came because Miss Anna requested our presence."

Another wave of whispers swept through the gym.

Requested?

Anna?

The quiet transfer student?

Mason laughed again, though this time the sound felt forced.

"This is ridiculous."

He pointed directly at Anna.

"She's nobody."

"I've known people like her my entire life."

"She eats alone."

"Wears the same hoodie every day."

"Carries old notebooks."

"She's pretending."

Anna slowly looked toward him.

For the first time...

There was disappointment in her eyes.

Not because of the insults.

Because he still hadn't understood.

The suited man finally turned toward Mason.

His expression remained perfectly calm.

"Young man..."

"What is your name?"

"Mason Carter."

"And you're the individual who ordered Miss Anna to kneel?"

"So what if I am?"

The answer came confidently.

Too confidently.

One of the security officers quietly typed something into a tablet.

Less than five seconds later...

He leaned toward the suited man.

"Identity confirmed."

The man nodded once.

"I see."

He returned his attention to Mason.

"You should consider calling your parents."

Mason smirked.

"For what?"

"You'll understand shortly."

Several students began recording again.

This had become far more interesting than anyone expected.

The suited man turned back toward Principal Howard.

"We require access to your conference room."

"Immediately."

"Of course."

Principal Howard answered without hesitation.

"And we also require every surveillance recording from the last forty-eight hours."

"...Yes, sir."

"The disciplinary records."

"...Yes."

"The student complaint archive."

"...Immediately."

The students stared in disbelief.

Nobody had ever seen the principal obey someone so quickly.

Meanwhile Anna quietly walked across the gym to retrieve her scattered books.

She knelt—not because Mason had demanded it—but simply to collect her belongings.

Several students suddenly felt ashamed.

Without anyone asking, a freshman hurried over.

"I..."

he said nervously.

"I'm sorry."

He handed her one of the notebooks.

Another student picked up loose papers.

Soon five...

Then ten...

Then twenty students silently helped gather everything Mason had thrown across the floor.

Nobody spoke.

Nobody joked anymore.

Mason watched in disbelief.

"Seriously?"

"You people were laughing five minutes ago!"

No one answered him.

One girl quietly stopped her livestream.

Another deleted the recording entirely.

A boy who had shouted "Kneel!" earlier couldn't even look Anna in the eyes.

The mood inside the gym had completely reversed.

Then another black vehicle pulled up outside.

And another.

And another.

Students near the windows gasped.

At least eight identical luxury SUVs now lined the front entrance.

Each displayed the same silver emblem.

Teachers began whispering among themselves.

"I've seen that symbol before..."

"Where?"

"I can't remember..."

"But it belongs to someone incredibly powerful."

Principal Howard suddenly approached Anna himself.

His posture was completely different from before.

"I'm deeply sorry..."

he said quietly.

"I should have acted sooner."

Anna looked at him calmly.

"You should have."

The simple sentence struck harder than any accusation.

Because it was true.

The principal had received complaints about Mason for almost two years.

Bullying.

Threats.

Harassment.

Destroyed property.

Nothing meaningful had ever happened.

Every incident disappeared because Mason's father donated generously to the school every year.

Everyone knew it.

Nobody admitted it.

Until today.

The suited man checked his watch.

"Miss Anna."

"Our chairman has arrived."

Every head turned toward the gym entrance.

Footsteps echoed across the polished wooden floor.

Slow.

Measured.

Confident.

An elderly gentleman entered the building surrounded by only two bodyguards.

His gray hair was neatly combed.

His walking cane touched the floor softly with every step.

The moment Principal Howard recognized him...

His knees nearly gave way.

He whispered a name that instantly changed everything.

"Oh... my God."

May you like

"It can't be..."

"That's..."
