One Monday morning, Superintendent Grant entered the robotics lab with unexpected guests.
The city's mayor.
Several transportation planners.
Representatives from the parks department.
Nobody announced a ceremony.
Instead, they asked for a tour.
Emma demonstrated the interactive accessibility simulator developed after the national summit.
Visitors redesigned sidewalks, intersections, and playgrounds while software immediately evaluated accessibility.
The mayor experimented with several layouts.
After ten minutes, he laughed.
"I accidentally created three new barriers."
Alex smiled.
"It happens."
"What surprised me," the mayor admitted, "is how small some of those barriers are."
He pointed toward the simulation.
"I never noticed half of them."

One engineer asked,

Alex looked toward Coach Daniels.
Coach simply smiled.
