Chapter 91 - The Missing Page

As Samuel carefully packed the Last Ledger into a protective case, something unexpected slipped from between its pages.

A single loose sheet.

Different paper.

Different handwriting.

It had never belonged inside the book.

Daniel picked it up.

The page had been torn from another journal years earlier.

Across the top someone had written:

Private Memorandum — Not for the Archive

Unlike every previous document, this one contained no codes.

No hidden symbols.

Only a straightforward account.

> If Daniel ever reaches the Ledger, do not pressure him to choose immediately.

>

> He deserves one thing no Carter has received for generations.

>

> Time.

The signature at the bottom stunned everyone.

Rebecca Carter

Lily read it twice.

Then a third time.

"She wrote this?"

Samuel examined the ink.

"The handwriting is genuine."

Daniel slowly lowered the page.

"So at some point..."

"...Rebecca tried to stop all of this."

Before anyone could continue, a soft mechanical tone echoed through the chamber.

The electronic display beside the security door illuminated for the first time.

A new message slowly appeared across the screen.

PRIMARY ARCHIVE ONLINE

SYNC COMPLETE

ONE NEW RECORD RECEIVED

Samuel frowned.

"We haven't entered anything."

Elias walked toward the monitor.

His expression gradually changed from curiosity...

To genuine confusion.

"That's impossible."

Daniel stepped beside him.

"What happened?"

Elias pointed silently at the final line displayed on the screen.

The Archive had automatically registered a new entry.

Future Guardian Identified

The name beneath it had not been entered by anyone in the room.

It appeared on its own.
