Margaret expanded the timeline.

Yet one detail never changed.
Each event ended without published proceedings.
Arthur looked toward the evidence board.
"So every symposium may have left behind another archive."
Samuel added quietly,
"Or another witness."
Cybersecurity analysts overlaid historical travel records with executive attendance lists.
Charles Whitmore had visited three of the five cities.
Harold Bennett had visited one.
Samuel had visited none.
Margaret circled London.
"It appears most often."
Judge Walsh nodded.
"And it's the only city where we still haven't identified a surviving participant."
The room fell silent.
The investigation had expanded beyond national borders.
What had begun with one humiliating interview now hinted at a network of preserved knowledge scattered across multiple countries.
Yet Margaret sensed something else.
Whoever wrote the letter had not wanted them to visit every archive.
